Essential job functions include conducting clinical assessments/intakes; providing a range of therapeutic interventions will provide individual, family, and group therapy. Services at Lake Region focus on integration of behavioral health (substance use and mental health) using a team based approach. This position may also involve some evening hours as well as various outreach opportunities. As an Advanced Clinical Specialist and a qualified mental health professional, will seek out and accept clinical cases that require a high degree of clinical and interpersonal skills to address complex multi-problem cases. This position may serve in a leadership or supervisory capacity depending on skill set and agency need.

Lake region human service center has been designated as a "Mental health professional shortage area" facility, and is an eligible site for the national health service corps student loan repayment program. Therefore, with a master's degree and advanced licensure the successful applicant may be eligible for generous assistance with student loan repayment. For further information, please go to

Requires a master's degree in social work, counseling, or any other master's degree approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners, and licensure as a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor); OR a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
