Responsibilities

The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Vice-President of Human Resources with providing guidance, support and coordination in the consistent application of policies, procedures and practices of the Human Resources Department to staff in all areas of the Caisse.

Key responsibilities consist of:

  • Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and programs dealing with human resources
  • Coordinating and participating in the Caisse’s recruitment and selection practices, as well as advising managers
    on tasks related to the recruitment process and employment strategies in order to meet human resources requirements
  • Interpreting, assisting and advising employees and managers regarding benefit administration and human resources
    procedures and policies within the specified guidelines
  • Analyzing and advising management on human resources related problems and interpretation of human resources policies,
    as well as making recommendations to the organization
  • Providing guidance to managers concerning disciplinary problems, outlining and drafting written warnings in both official languages, reviewing performance evaluations and corrective actions taken in order to ensure consistency and congruency
  • Preparing a variety of data, information and reports, including salary and benefits surveys

Skills & Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a human resources role or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Knowledge of Manitoba employment laws and regulations
  • CPHR designation is an asset
  • Relevant experience within a financial institution is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Strong communication skills and highly proficient in both French and English, written and verbal, are required
