According to information on the website, Calgary Transit is approximately 100 bus drivers short due to the recent growth in the local economy. There is currently a recruiting drive (no pun intended!) to hire more transit operators for their bus and light rail vehicles. These positions offer guaranteed hours and a starting salary of $19.16 per hour during the training program. There are the obvious driving and licensing requirements that are clearly indicated in the job ad, as well as additional qualifications.
