Got a flair for the artisitic? Really good at managing people or situations? Sports nut?

Whatever your skill sets are, there's probably a job for you at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. Positions range from Stage Manager, to General Manager of Transportation Systems, to snow grooming equipment operator. Most positions are in Vancouver but there are also some in Squamish and Whistler.

Here's an exampe of a position they are looking to fill.

In Vancouver, they are looking for a Costume Supervisor to manage the costume department and designs for the opening, victory and closing ceremonies. The list of requirements and the job description is thorough and includes a minimum of 8 years experience and previous experience in large scale theatrical or opera productions or stadium events.

There are also opportunities to volunteer if you're looking for experience to beef up your resume.

Hiring At Canada Olympic Park

This world class facility (site of the 1988 Olympics) is looking for staff. In the winter, this facility operates as a ski and snowboard centre, and in the summer, they offer visitors mountain bike trails sport adventure camps, and more.

They are currently looking for Athlete Services Attendants both full and part time. They are also looking for a lot of staff for their Food and Beverage division. These positions include a Manager (Food and Beverage), a Banquet Chef, Cook and Line Cooks (temporary positions) Dishwashers and Food preps (part time), and Catering Servers (part time.)

They are also looking for people in their Operations division - too many positions to list, but we'll get a few down here for you; Supervisor (Lift Operations), Warehouse Attendant, Plant Operator, Electrical Maintenance Technician, and Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Want to work in the world of hockey?

There are ongoing positions available with the Ottawa Senators organization. These jobs include working at Scotiabank Place (home of the Ottawa Senators), jobs at the Bell Sensplex, and jobs with Capital Tickets.

For example, there is a position for call centre agents with Capital Tickets. This job involves dealing with customers for their hockey ticket purchases, as well as answering their questions and resolving customer service issues.

Qualifications include the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays and customer service experience. There are some additional requirements so if you are interested, it might be worth a look.
