The Canadian Mental Health Association is looking for a few staff at their Ottawa branch.

They are looking for a Program Manager (Community Support Services) for a 1 year maternity leave contract. They are looking for someone with a Masters degree or equivalent in Social Work (MSW) or a related field and a minimum of 5 years recent clinical work. As well, they are looking for someone with at least 2 years of supervisory experience and you must be bilingual.

They are also looking for a Human Resources Generalist to fill a full-time permanent position. They require a university degree in a relevant area and three to five years of generalist experience and this person must be bilingual.

This regional health authority is looking for a LOT of staff, over 500 actually!

Most positions are directly related to the field of health care, such as Care Aides, or Community Health Workers, or Nurses, but many are also for administrative or leisure positions. For example, they are looking for Activity Workers/Drivers in Powell River to organize activities, transporting residents to and from excursions, accompanying residents on outings, teach activity techniques, and assist with daily living skills.

The Ottawa Hospital is hiring. There are over 100 jobs currently on their website for a variety of positions.

Many of the jobs they are looking to fill are for registered nurses, but some others include a Cook position, a bilingual Casual Clerk, Corporate Manager of Patient Food Services, a Prosthetist, a Secretary in the Information Systems division, and a Translator-Reviser in the Communications division.

The regional health authority for the northwest part of central Saskatchewan is looking for staff. On their website, they feature open positions, on-going vacant postings, and incentives for hard-to-recruit positions.

Since this health region serves a large geographical area, job opportunities are available in a wide range of locations. The website lets you sort by area, if you prefer one location to another.

Current open positions include two Physical Therapist positions in Lloydminster, a Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technician in Meadow Lake, and a cook in Loon Lake.

In total, they are hiring for (at time of writing this post) 122 positions. If you want to work in a health-related position in Saskatchewan, this might just be your opportunity.
