We provide a variety of medical, surgical, diagnostic, grooming and boarding solutions for its clients.  We are seeking a qualified and experienced Veterinary Technologist to join our busy practice.  This is a full-time, permanent position.


Duties include provision of nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals; handling, restraining and caring for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, along with kennel duties; production of radiographs, collecting and analyzing samples, and performing other laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis of animal health problems; assisting the veterinarian with animals before, during and following surgery by preparing surgical equipment, administering and monitoring anaesthetics, and cleaning up after surgery; preparing and administering medications and vaccinations under the direction of the veterinarian; administering treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian; providing wound and bandage care; conducting specialized procedures such as animal identification; educating and advising clients on animal health care, including nutrition and home care; performing routine dental procedures and assisting the veterinarians with animal dentistry; and performing a variety of office management and other clerical duties.


Completion of an accredited animal health / veterinary technician program, along with 2+ years of related experience or higher education.  The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of animals, including breeds, characteristics and common diseases, and knowledge of and experience with protocols and procedures associated with all facets of patient care.  Must have strong computer and excellent English (verbal, written) communication skills.  The position is physically demanding and includes heavy lifting, pushing and pulling.  Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task is a must, as is the ability to function in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.


The position pays $20.00 per hour, based on a 40 hour work week.​
