Description:
Uses their comprehensive product knowledge, customer and inter-personal relationship skill to effectively and efficiently satisfy customer's needs in securing parts. Working with Product Managers, Inventory Contol and Service Personnel, this person builds knowledge by participating in off-site, in-house and self-study product training opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the procurement, filling customer orders, stocking and receiving of construction machinery parts
- Responsible for the completion of parts shipment situations
- Leans systems to fill in when Part Managers are absent
- Proficient in the various online systems to allow for greater support for the Parts Manager
- Builds knowledge of existing product lines, service standards and procedures
- Acquire parts and other items from vendors, within the Manitoba/Saskatchewan area in a safe and professional manner
- Assists in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control
- Attends local, regional, national parts training as required
- Maintains close, positive working relationships with service and administrative departments
- Performs as directed by the Parts and Service Operations Manager
Experience:
- Must have:
- Experience in parts sales in a retail environment
- A basic understanding of computer spreadsheets, databases and word processing applications
- Proficient writing, reading and math skills
- An understanding of process flows within an organization
- Must be:
- Willing to ask questions when necessary
- Able to think ahead and keep in close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner
- Able to stand for prolong periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
- Ability to prioritize
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
