Veterinarian Technician
Description:
Under the stable manager authority and supervision, the veterinarian technician is responsible of the good health and well-being of the horses on tour. This position requires working different shifts.
Responsibilities :
Plan and give treatments and nutritional programs to horses
Monitor horses' health and give treatment if necessary
Coordinate treatment with veterinarian
Order food and medical supplies
Make sure that the stables respect hygiene and safety measures
Supervise the maintenance of the equipment and control inventory
Participate in set up / tear down of the stable installations
Assist the manager in transportation of horses between cities.
Give backstage help during the show
Perform all other tasks related to the site maintenance and smooth running of operations;
Requirements:
Diploma in animal health required
Experience with show horses, specially stallions is an asset
Bilingual
Team work
Detail orientated
Prepared to be on tour full-time, and authorized to work in the United States and Europe
Salary:
To be discussed according to experience.
Transportation, lodging and food are provided on tour.
Starting: immediately
