Company Profile

Our client is a whole sale distributor with many locations in Canada. We are looking for a General Manager. This is a multi-functional position which is responsible for business development in Alberta, key Account relationships across Canada, and operational support for mulitiple business locations. The primary function of this position will be supporting distribution managers with all aspects of their operations, including sales, accounts receivables, inventory control and policies & procedures.

Responsibilities

-The General Manager is required to occasionally travel to other business locations across Canada, as well as perform direct sales calls throughout Alberta. Strong sales skills and team leadership are a must. In this position you will be required to:

-Develop and maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners and key account cross Canada
-Increase profitability by reviewing monthly income statements and communicating recommendations to Distribution Mangers and Director of Operations
-Support achieving target sales by maintaining strong communications with Distribution Managers
-The estimated out of town traveling for this position is approximately 40-50%.

Qualifications

-Minimum 10 years experience as Manager preferably in supply chain, logistics or distribution industry. Experience in the glass industry (commerial/auto/residential) is an asset.
-Strong communication with interpersonal skills
-Excellent customer service and sales skills
-Strong computer knowledge
