Development Manager
Highly motivated with exceptional management and organizational skills, coupled with at least 3-5 years experience in fundraising in a leadership role, the Development Manager will take responsibility for the cultivation and execution of Drayton Entertainment's overall development efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
Devise and execute an annual Development Plan, complete with objectives in gross fundraising revenue for the next five years.
Pursue new sources of revenue through the research and preparation of grant proposals.
Expand and administer all aspects of Drayton Entertainment's corporate sponsorship program.
Establish and implement new goals and strategies for growth in Membership.
Develop and execute strategies for both corporate and grassroots components of current and future multi-year Capital Campaigns.
Administer and develop plans to meet sales objectives in annual fundraising, including special events, advertising, and contests.
Participate in public speaking engagements, as requested.
Evaluate changing trends in philanthropy and develop new programs responsive to the fundraising needs of Drayton Entertainment.
Work with the marketing team to ensure a consistent image of Drayton Entertainment fundraising initiatives is communicated through literature, activities, and media.
Demonstrate effective personnel management of development staff.
Required Skills: This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director. Some evening and weekend work will be required. The ideal candidate will have a definite passion for the performing arts and an intense desire to work with the public. Additional qualifications include:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in fundraising in a leadership role, preferably in the arts and/or not-for-profit sector
Post-secondary education, related field of study, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated strong organizational and leadership skills
Superior writing skills, with demonstrated experience in grant writing and foundation research procedures
Proven experience spearheading and managing Capital Campaigns at both corporate and grassroots levels
Established network of contacts for sponsorship potential
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
