Usually on this blog, we bring you job opportunities. We tell you about companies that are hiring and what they are looking for. Today, something a little different.
Most job postings have closing dates, right? And sometimes, you'll find the perfect job and the closing date is coming up very soon. That's why this blog post and the information in it, is so important.
This blog post is about having your resume ready. Even if you are not actively looking for work (maybe you're the occasional browser who likes to see what's out there) your resume should be updated, containing information about the job you have now and your current skills. And ideally, you should have some copies printed up or ready to be emailed at a moment's notice.
You do not want your lack of time to have an impact on what jobs you can apply for. Spend a half hour to an hour, every month or every few months updating your current employment information and skills on your resume. You'll thank yourself when you find that perfect job - and you'll be able to apply for it, even if the closing date is tomorrow.
