Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

Feel the need to serve and protect? Well, the Edmonton Police Service is hiring.

The site is very thorough and has lots of information, giving you a great idea of what it takes to be a police officer.

They are holding info sessions on October 24th, at Police Headquarters (9620 - 103A Ave in Edmonton) at 7pm.

They are also taking their recruiting efforts on the road - perfect if you are planning a move to Edmonton but don't live there yet.

They will be in Toronto today, October 9th at 6pm at the Four Points Sheraton Lakeshore (1926 Lakeshore Blvd W.) and in Peterborough on October 12th at Fleming College, Room 519 at 6pm.

Their next recruitment training class begins on February 4, 2008. If you are interested in police work, this might the perfect job for you. Find out more on their website.

Police Hiring at the City of Winnipeg

Winnipeg is looking for you if you are interested in becoming an officer of the law. Their new recruitment efforts start on August 1st, so there's some time for you to get ready.

The process includes (among others) a written test, screening interview, background check, and psychological and medical exams.

Once recruited, police constables undergo a 37 week basic training course. Salaries start at approximately $35,000.

There are some pretty specific requirements, so if you are interested in becoming one of Winnipeg's finest, check out the recruiting information on their website.
