I know what you're thinking. Not a lot of jobs in the automotive industry lately. But not so at Toyota. Currently, Toyota has 25 jobs on their website. Most jobs, except one in Woodstock, ON are based in Cambridge, ON.

Most positions are engineering-related, but there are also some for technicians, human resources, and information technology as well.

One of the human resources position titles is a Manager-Training and Development. Toyota is looking for someone with 5-7 years experience in a human resources, training or organizational development role. They are also looking for proven project management skills and some other requirements as well.

On the technical side, they are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. You must possess an Ontario or Interprovincial Electrician's Certificate and a Technicians certificate is preferred. The job involves performing maintenance on the mechanical and electrical systems and a lot more.

Deadline Impending for Jobs at the SSHRC

The acronym stands for Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and this federal organization is in place to support university-based research and training in the social sciences and humanities.

Currently, they are hiring for three positions. The closing dates on two of these positions is tomorrow and the third one is September 14th.

The first position is a Performance and Evaluation Officer and the second is a Manager, Performance and Evaluation. Both positions are located in Ottawa and list bilingualism as imperative.

The third job is for a Senior Internal Auditor and this job entails planning and conducting internal audits of the council. Bilingualism is non-imperative and the job is located in Ottawa as well.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) have three jobs online that are set to expire tomorrow.

The first, is a Project Manager position. THey are looking for someone to develop and implement an on-line literature production process and more.

Canadian and permanent citizens residing in the National Capital Region can apply for this job and you must be bilingual. They are looking for someone with considerable and project management experience as well as some other requirements. The salary range is $70,575 to $88,219.

The second and third positions are for Communications and Promotion Officers; one for the Atlantic office, and one for the Prairies.

For the Winnipeg region job, English is essential, but for the job based in Moncton, bilingualism is imperative.

The job entails Plans, developing and implementing communications activities for the regional office of NSERC. There is a more thorough description on the website.

The job pays $58,962 to $71,906.

Did you know that there are a wide variety of jobs at Kodak? From Industrial Engineer to Project Manager in Manufacturing to Software Developer to Tax Manager, there are a lot of choices in a variety of fields.

The only thing is that ALL the jobs currently on their site, are in Vancouver. Good if you live there or are planning a move, bad if you don't want to live there.

An interesting thing to note is that, in addition to listing the job titles and description, they also tell you what career stage the position is. For example, the Industrial Engineer position would apply to someone who is in an early career phase; with a minimum of 2 years experience, but less that 6 years. That's a great way to gauge the level of experience, skill, and responsibility a job entails.
